Sky Full of Crows; A Poem for Edgar Allan Poe's Birthday

Sky inked black by crows
A liquid line of movement
Silhouetted against angry clouds
The above is my modern Haiku answer to Edgar Allan Poe's birthday today. Modern Haiku doesn't have to follow the 5-7-5 syllable rule. Isn't that a freeing thought? Though there is debate about when it ceases to be a Haiku, there is a lot of elbow room in the form.
A Haiku purist might take issue with the form choices I have made, but in most circles, it fits for today.
Today would have been Poe's 215th birthday. He was born January 19, 1809. He died in 1849, but his legacy lives on, all these years later. Wouldn't it be fun to tell him?
